Here's something interesting:
Last month, Bari Weiss raised $15 million for her newsletter. As you might know, she's one of the most notorious pandemic minimizers on the planet, someone directly responsible for the millions of adults and children now struggling with long-lasting, perhaps permanent damage from Covid. On top of that, it's a hotbed of oblivious privilege and pro-genocidal propaganda.
This is what I tried to get away from, but the support wasn't there. At any rate, I'm thoroughly convinced that every single platform has problems like this, so I might as well try to scrape by on them all.
Meanwhile...
Today was one of the worst days I've had in a while. The newsletter lost nearly 50 paying subscribers. Some people are even opening bank disputes because they're irritated about their subscriptions rolling over.
This is happening after I made a range of changes at readers' requests, and it looks like quite a few of them are unhappy anyway.
If you're a supporter, I'm sorry you're having to read me whining again. You don't deserve this. Then again, it's your right to know.
I'm not sure I can explain the pain of watching these grifts soar under the guise of journalism while those of us who do actual research and try to make the truth resonate are bombarded with ridicule and insults, and punished for the slightest offense, even by those who benefit from our work.
I hate sending emails like this, but apparently if I don't do it, then Bari Weiss will win and I'll be doing something else for a living.
